Oakton, VA — February 2, 2026 – ServiceSource, a nonprofit leader in disability employment and support services, is pleased to announce Ken Crum as their new President and Chief Executive Officer. Crum succeeds Bruce Patterson, who announced his retirement from the role last year after a 42-year career with ServiceSource.
Today’s transition is the final step in a year-long succession process during which the ServiceSource Board of Directors selected Crum to be the next president and CEO. Crum and Patterson worked together throughout 2025 to ensure a smooth leadership transition that will maintain the stability and continuity stakeholders have come to expect, while positioning the organization for its next era of growth.
“It’s an honor to lead ServiceSource at this pivotal time. We’ve grown to serve more than 36,000 people annually with our family of affiliate organizations in Virginia, North Carolina, Delaware, Florida, and Utah,” said Crum. “Bruce Patterson’s leadership set ServiceSource up for long-term impact, and I’m excited to carry our mission forward and create even greater opportunities for those we serve.”
Crum brings 25 years of experience within ServiceSource, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer. He has a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s affiliates, experience in building vital community partnerships, and significant knowledge of the AbilityOne Program, a federal contracting initiative that is among the nation’s largest sources of employment for people with disabilities.
“With his deep institutional knowledge, proven operational leadership, and unwavering commitment to ServiceSource, we have full confidence in Ken’s ability to lead the organization,” said Board of Directors Chair Gary Petersen. “ServiceSource has grown tremendously over the years, and we are eager to see him build on that success, expanding our reach and impact for the individuals and communities we serve.”
As Crum assumes this role, he plans to focus on sustainable growth, program innovation, and exemplary service delivery across ServiceSource and its affiliated agencies. One of his first goals will be to develop a five-year strategic plan that will propel the organization forward. The new plan will serve as a powerful roadmap to expand the work of ServiceSource as a national leader in serving people with disabilities.
